Sheriff Gaming suspension upheld until further notice
Suspension to continue following private hearing held on Tuesday over legal dispute over Dutch-focused operations
Sheriff Gaming operator Bubble Group’s licence suspension is to continue until further notice following a private hearing held on Tuesday.
The operator had its gaming licence suspended by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) in September following an investigation into Sheriff Gaming CEO Stijn Flapper, among others, for alleged involvement in unlicensed operators targeting Dutch residents.
The Suspension Notice issued by the AGCC referred to section 12(1) of the Alderney eGambling Ordinance 2009, stating that a suspension may occur if the licensee is no longer considered a fit and proper person.
Flapper welcomed the announcement at the time, questioning why it had taken so long for the AGCC to investigate the matter.
A spokesperson for Bubble Group declined to comment.
