Shay Segev is leaving Entain just six months after taking over from Kenny Alexander as CEO of the FTSE 100 gambling operator. Segev, who has been with the business for the last five years, will depart Entain to become the co-CEO of privately-owned global sports streaming platform DAZN. Entain confirmed Segev will serve a notice period of six months and will remain with the firm until a permanent successor is found. The operator said the process to recruit his successor is “well under way”. Segev will work alongside new DAZN co-CEO James Rushton, who has served as the group’s acting CEO since June 2020.
