Scientific Games appoints new chief marketing officer
Former NFL CMO Shawn Dennis joins SG from DreamWorks Animation
Scientific Games (SG) has announced the appointment of Shawn Dennis as chief marketing officer.
Dennis has 25 years of experience in the entertainment, consumer and sports marketing industries, and will be responsible for ‘elevating the company’s global leadership brand position, promoting its integrated brands and increasing engagement with customers and players’.
Dennis joins SG from DreamWorks Animation, where she served as global head of brand and franchise development, having also worked for American Girl, Dell, and the NFL.
President and CEO of SG Kevin Sheehan said: “We are excited to welcome Shawn to the Scientific Games executive team.
“With her tremendous experience leading marketing for high profile companies and brands in the entertainment and technology sector, she is perfectly suited to lead our marketing efforts to enhance consumer and customer engagement, drive top line revenue growth and catapult the company’s next phase of growth.”
Last month, SG struck a deal to purchase NYX for $630m, in a move that it said will create a “global digital gaming and lottery powerhouse.”
Since then, the company announced that its Scientific Games International subsidiary will offer $350m (€297.7m) of senior secured notes to help fund the acquisition.
