SBTech signs platform and sportsbook deal with state lottery
Azerbaijan monopoly Azerinteltek to move its eTopaz sports betting operation onto supplier’s Chameleon360 platform
SBTech has signed a deal to become the platform and sportsbook supplier to Azerbaijan’s state lottery operator Azerinteltek, an agreement which adds to the firm’s growing list of lottery clients.
Azerinteltek, which holds a monopoly position in the Azerbaijan market, will migrate its online sports betting business, eTopaz, onto to SBTech’s Chameleon360 platform and away from its current Intralot technology.
The operator will have access to SBTech’s full suite of player management services, including bonusing, payment processing and CRM, while eTopaz can also leverage the supplier’s big data analytics.
SBTech said it fought off a number of rivals during what it described as a “competitive tender” process, with Azerinteltek joining an expanding roster of lottery clients which also includes Czech giant Sazka.
“This agreement further advances our strategy of becoming the foremost provider of sports betting solutions to state lotteries, as well the leading supplier of platform products and services in regulated markets,” Richard Carter, SBTech chief executive, said.
eTopaz CEO and Azerinteltek Board Member, Altay Aliyev, said the deal would enable the firm to offer new and innovative products to its customers.
“The Chameleon360 platform’s wide range of revenue-generating features and the company’s demonstrable commitment to innovation and proven versatility were pivotal in our choice, and we anticipate substantial growth as a result of the new products we shall be offering to our customers,” Aliyev said.
