River iGaming plots launch of data-driven B2B business
Oslo-listed operator is considering moving onto its own tech platform after establishing its B2C brands
Oslo-listed operator River iGaming is plotting to launch a B2B arm after building its own proprietary platform.
Speaking to EGR, River CEO Kent Staahle said the start-up would take a data-driven approach to product development and would use customer data to personalise the UX of each of its brands.
“Today we’re looking more as a B2C company but the real long-term value lies within having control over data and providing a better product to both our in-house brands and to external clients in the market,” Staahle said.
“This will include game technology, marketing technology, payments and so forth.”
Staahle expects the onboarding of B2B clients to occur by 2020.
Currently River’s Nordics-facing Pay N Play casino, Casonic, is based on Gaming Realms’ Grizzly platform, a move that was part of the deal for River to acquire Gaming’s Realms’ B2C arm in June 2018.
Meanwhile, its Vegas Casino brand is operating on Cherry’s XCaliber platform.
Staahle also said the operator would be launching a new gamified casino product in Q2.
