Responsible Gambling Trust announces new CEO
Etches to lead organisation formed from Responsible Gambling Fund and GREaT Foundation merger
Marc Etches has been appointed chief executive of the Responsible Gambling Trust, the group has announced.
The charitable organisation will be formed by the merger of the Responsible Gambling Fund and the GREaT Foundation and will be launched in April 2012, and will look to minimise problem gambling in the United Kingdom through player education and prevention techniques. Etches is currently CEO of the GREaT Foundation, and will oversee the fundraising and commissioning roles of the new body.
Neil Goulden, chairman of the Responsible Gambling Trust, outlined the group’s aims, adding that further appointments to its board will be made in due course: “The Responsible Gambling Trust plans to become an independent, authoritative and respected voice for responsible gambling in Britain. It will commission effective and value for money services from treatment and education providers through a commissioning approach focussing on partnership working and appropriate evaluation, which is proportional to the relevant grant.”
