Resorts named Operator of the Year at EGR North America awards

New Jersey operator takes the plaudits after successful PokerStars launch

 

The digital arm of New Jersey’ Resorts Casino has scooped the Operator of the Year award at the second annual EGR North America Awards in San Francisco.

The operator is already the market leader for poker in New Jersey just weeks after launching with PokerStars on March 21.

The firm also received praise for opening up the state’s first “egaming lounge”, a dedicated space inside the casino where customers can gamble online.

Tropicana Entertainment walked away with the Casino Operator award while WSOP picked up the award for best Poker Operator.

More than 120 guests attended the glittering awards ceremony at the W San Francisco Hotel, hosted by Saturday Night Live comedian Owen Benjamin.

William Hill US, GAN, Playtika and WSOP were among the stars of the evening, scooping two awards each.

FanDuel picked up the Fantasy Sports Operator award, while Betfair TVG Online was chosen in the Online Horse Race Wagering Operator category after it opened its racing exchange in New Jersey.
