Raw iGaming continues M&A charge with Spigo deal
Supplier adds to Leander Games and Sapphire Gaming purchases after acquiring Spigo’s assets from Lady Luck Games
Startup slots studio Raw iGaming has ramped up its M&A roadmap with the acquisition of Spigo from Lady Luck Games. The deal will see Raw acquire all of Spigo’s games, customers and its platform. Spigo develops casual games, such as yatzy and backgammon, as well as softer slot games and bespoke solutions for tier-one operators. The move to acquire Spigo follows Raw’s 2022 strategy as it looks to rapidly expand in the games provider side of the industry. The firm acquired Leander Games in April to expand across Europe and Latam, with the supplier then following that deal by purchasing Sapphire Gaming in June. Following the acquisition of the pair, Raw now boasts offices in Malta, Spain, Argentina and the UK. Speaking on the acquisition, Raw iGaming CEO Tom Wood said: “This is another step in our company’s evolution to provide premium products to every channel of the gaming industry. “Just as in the commoditisation of slot games, within the casual games space we see the same never-ending sea of sameness. “Through the Raw team’s innovative game design and unique creativity, we hope to change that just as we are doing in the slots market,” he added.
