Rank announces social gaming deal with Enteraction
Two-year deal sees social gaming solutions provider supply its GameShaper+ platform and assist with integration of Rank's first non-social casino game.
Enteraction has signed a deal which will see the social gaming supplier provide Rank Group with its GameShaper+ platform.
The two-year deal allows Rank to integrate mobile- and Facebook-optimised social casino products on the platform, and provides a solution to centrally manage user, marketing and product data across all products.
The agreement also sees enteraction integrate the official X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent social bingo games onto GameShaper+, and will work with the operator on the integration of the X Factor Role Playing Game, Rank’s first non-casino social app.
Lee O’Donovan, head of social and mobile for Rank Group, explained that the deal allowed the group to continue its expansion into the social gaming sector:
“With the pace of change in this market we needed a platform that allowed for the quick deployment of multiple products with a single point of data management; which we see as critical to the success of this type of product.
“We have taken some positive steps into social gaming over 2012 and now take this learning into the delivery of future products across mobile and Facebook,” O’Donovan explained.
Rank first agreed a deal with Fremantlemedia (FME) and SyCo to become the brand’s official gaming partner in December 2011, followed by the announcement that FME had selected Cozy Games to develop a series of X Factor-themed mobile and tablet slot games. The first product, an HTML5 X Factor slot game, was launched in October last year.
Enteraction managing director Andy Rogers described the partnership as “an exciting extension to our existing relationship with Rank.”
“They have made a confident move into branded social games in the UK and we are privileged to continue to work with them in both a product and platform capacity. With this platform deal in place we are confident that we can now optimise revenue and leverage data to further positively impact Rank’s online and land-based businesses,” Rogers added.
