Probability integrates "frictionless" mobile billing
Payment service, launched in partnership with Boku, adds gaming charges to customer's mobile phone bill
Mobile operator Probability has released a new mobile payment service giving players the ability to pay through their mobile phone account.
Launched in partnership with mobile payments company Boku, Probability becomes the first gambling company to launch the direct carrier billing service, which is linked to all major UK mobile network operators.
Players can deposit funds into a gaming account within five seconds using the secure process, rivalling the speed of credit card payments, with a limit of £30 per day.
Probability has integrated the payment platform directly into its games for iPhone and Android users, and it will be immediately available to all Probability customers including LadyLucks, Moobile and white label partners.
Probability CEO Charles Cohen said players had come to expect frictionless payments through in-app purchasing systems on their smartphones.
“With this technology from Boku, and their deep integration with the mobile network operators, Probability is now able to match that convenience at an attractive rate commercially,” he said.
The company recently pledged to “re-define what mobile gambling is all about”, with an emphasis placed on competing against virtual currency casinos and social gaming products like Angry Birds rather than traditional multi-channel gambling operators.
