PressEnter Group CEO to lead management buyout
Lahcene Merzoug and senior team agree deal with current investors with view to maximising future growth
PressEnter Group CEO Lahcene Merzoug is set to lead a management buyout of the operator in what will usher in a new era at the firm. Merzoug, who joined PressEnter in April 2021 as CEO, will join forces with his executive management team to take the company forward. Merzoug and his team have agreed terms with PressEnter’s current investors to acquire the business. The deal will see Merzoug become executive chairman, while the operator will retain its headquarters in Sliema, Malta, and its stable of brands. These include 21.com, JustSpin, NeonVegas Casino, NitroCasino, UltraCasino and RapidCasino. The new management team will begin reviewing PressEnter’s existing strategies and processes with a view to maximising business growth. Merzoug said the decision to take ownership of PressEnter was a landmark moment. “The management team has worked hard for the chance to take ownership of the business and we have a sound strategy that we strongly believe in. “With the management team taking full ownership, the business will enter a new era. This is a major milestone for the organisation, and I look forward to leading from the front as we turn the page and start the next chapter of the PressEnter story,” he added. Earlier this year, PressEnter bolstered its senior management team with the hire of a new chief financial officer and chief product officer. Former ComeOn Group chief product officer Hampus Eriksson joined in the same capacity in February and industry veteran Qurban Hussain linked up with the Malta-headquartered operator in January as CFO .
