The egaming industry gathers at ICE Totally Gaming at the ExCeL in London this week for three days of networking, partying, conferences and multi-million pound contract negotiations.
The world’s largest gaming exhibition is viewed as the key platform for service providers to launch new products, as well as one where the great and good of the industry meet to discuss what will drive the sector forward.
ICE is, therefore, often dominated by one or two key buzz phrases, with topics including social casino, daily fantasy sports and real-money gaming being on the lips of delegates in recent years. And 2016 will be no exception.
M&A is likely to be a dominating theme of this year’s conference following a wave of consolidation in the online gambling industry throughout 2015, from Ladbrokes and Coral to Paddy Power and Betfair. Delegates are sure to be debating whether this consolidation will continue.
Beyond industry mega-merger deals, the advent of big data and enhanced data analysis techniques is paving the way for greater opportunities within personalisation. Will 2016 be the year personalisation is finally taken to the next level?
