Poll results: Segregated liquidity the future of poker
More than half of readers believe iPoker's new direction will shape the vertical going forward.
In the light of the news that Playtech’s iPoker is set to introduce a separate liquidity pool for its largest skins, the majority of eGaming Review readers believe segregated liquidity is the way forward for poker.
More than half of those who voted in this week’s poll (53%) believe segregated liquidity will be the most common poker trend in 2012, with ‘iPoker 2’ “ due to comprise Paddy Power, bet365, Titan, William Hill and Poker770 “
considered likely to set the tone for the rest of the year.
PokerStars’ Zoom product underwent a beta launch last week, following on from InstaDeal’s comparable fast-paced poker product last year, but just 19% of voters believe new innovations will be the most common trend.
Even fewer gave that honour to a clampdown on rakeback, the option selected by 17% of those participating in the poll, although this is considered a target for a number of poker operators. The remaining 11% believed another, unspecified trend would come to the fore this year.
