Poll results: Pennsylvania next US state to regulate egaming
EGR readers predict the Keystone State most likely to follow in New Jersey's footsteps
Pennsylvania is the US state most likely to next regulate online gambling, according to respondents of eGaming Review’s latest poll.
New Jersey was the last state to regulate online gambling and in the three years since, egaming bills have been debated across the country but to no prevail.
Earlier this year in Pennsylvania, the Senate passed a bill to regulate online casino and poker, but the Assembly failed to vote on it before the end of the legislative session.
However, 40% of respondents to EGR’s latest poll believe the Keystone State will be the next US state to regulate egaming.
Recent attempts to regulate online poker in California have failed, and it appears respondents are less optimistic with 27% believing it will be next to regulate.
Despite speculation in New York that an online poker legislation could be approved in 2017, only 20% of respondents believe the Big Apple will be next to approve egaming legislation.
