Poll results: LeoVegas Sport faces uphill challenge
More than two thirds of respondents claim the operator's new sportsbook will be unable to match its casino success
LeoVegas will struggle to replicate its online casino success in the sports betting market, according to more than two-thirds of respondents to this week’s poll.
Earlier this month LeoVegas debuted its new Kambi-powered online sportsbook across six markets in what was the operator’s first major diversification beyond the casino vertical.
Upon launch, the firm said it wanted to offer “the market’s fastest and most engaging mobile sports betting experience” and would be more than just an add-on for casino players.
However, eGaming Review readers appear unconvinced LeoVegas can compete in such a major and competitive market.
More than two thirds (70%) of voters in this week’s EGR poll believe the Stockholm-listed operator, like many new entrants, will find it too difficult to gain a strong foothold in sports betting.
Meanwhile, the remaining 30% of respondents were confident the operator’s product and CRM capabilities would be enough to succeed.
