Poll results: SB&G had more successful year than bet365
Nearly 60% of poll voters believe Yorkshire-based operator’s financials were most impressive
Sky Betting and Gaming (SB&G) had a more impressive year than bet365, according to 58% of voters in this week’s EGR poll.
Both operators reported similar full-year financial results last week with SB&G’s 2016-17 revenues up 38% and bet365 up 39%.
And SB&G proved it was making substantial market share gains in the UK, which accounted for over 90% of its revenues.
However, 42% of readers hailed bet365 as the more successful brand, with the operator surpassing the £2bn revenue mark for the financial year.
Regulus Partners has estimated SB&G now has 11% of the UK’s market share, lagging only slightly behind bet365.
The analyst said the Yorkshire-based operator was quickly catching up to bet365 in UK revenue terms.
SB&G this week revealed its “world-first” instant payout feature enabling customers to have funds paid into their bank account in real-time.
