PokerVIP in PokerTube takeover
Power Affiliates one-to-watch has partnerships in place with several poker sites " PokerTube continues to operate Buzz Poker.
eGaming Review Power Affiliates one-to-watch PokerVIP (formerly iPokerVIP) has completed the takeover of fellow affiliate business PokerTube and will relaunch the site next month.
The acquisition does not cover InstaDeal network site Buzz Poker, previously known as Speed Poker, which will continue to be headed up by PokerTube’s former owner Stefan Wittmoss.
PokerVIP founder Jamie Nevin (pictured) described the deal as having “great opportunities,” telling eGR “It seems PokerTube is the only site that does what it does and I don’t think it will be challenged any time soon.
“PokerTube has a great community and incredible potential,” he added. “It’s one of the few third party sites associated with poker that is actually fun and enhances users’ overall poker experience. We are in discussions with sites and poker networks to provide a PokerTube cashgame that will be replayed on the site and have so many more exciting things planned. We expect to roll out the new look PokerTube site within 8 weeks.”
A number of partnerships with egaming operators have already been signed, including an agreement to set up exclusive PokerTube tables on 888 using the operator’s Poker Cams feature, which would ultimately be streamed on the PokerTube site.
Agreements are also in place with Genting and bwin.party brand WPT Poker for live streams and other sponsored content.
