Playtech launches £3m Covid-19 relief fund
Recovery and Resilience fund will provide support to charities, social enterprises and not-for-profit organisations
Playtech has launched a £3m Recovery and Resilience fund to assist mental health and wellbeing organisations dealing with the fallout of Covid-19.
The fund is designed to support organisations delivering programmes so that people can benefit from accessible and affordable mental health and wellbeing services.
The London-listed supplier has confirmed that charities, social enterprises and not-for-profit organisations will be able to apply for short-term recovery grants and long-term strategic resilience grants.
Playtech will also offer non-financial support via a virtual volunteers’ service, which allows organisations working in the charity sector to pitch for non-financial support from the supplier.
These opportunities will be promoted actively by Playtech to facilitate employee engagement.
To qualify under the application window, which opens later this month, organisations must be based in one of the countries in which Playtech operates an office.
These include the UK, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Gibraltar, the Philippines, Sweden, the US, Ukraine, Isle of Man, Australia, Israel, Romania, Latvia, Malta, Germany, Italy, Spain and Austria.
Discussing the fund, a spokesperson for Playtech said: “We know these services and outreach are particularly important for those disproportionately affected parts of society.
“This includes at-risk groups such as frontline healthcare workers and first responders, those suffering from gambling related harm, domestic abuse, unemployment as well as particular at risk groups such as young people.”
