PKR releases 3D poker upgrade in selected European markets
Poker operator gives new iOS app phased roll-out with Android version set to follow in coming months
UK-based poker operator PKR has released an upgrade to its 3D poker app in selected European markets as part of a phased roll-out.
The new upgrade has been released in the UK, Ireland and other European countries and has been optimised for both iPhones and iPads.
Multi-table tournaments have been added for the first time, while ring games and sit-and-go tournaments have also been implemented into the app.
A 2D version has also been released in other countries and is available at a âsignificantly reducedâ download size, while an Android equivalent remains in development ahead of a release in the coming months.
âWith support for MTTs, our app now stands alongside any in the world and weâre delighted already with the reaction from our players, who have really embraced real-money poker on mobile,â Malcolm Graham, CEO at PKR, said.
A number of poker operators have concentrated on increasing their app capabilities in recent weeks, with Sky Bet and bwin.party upgrading apps for their respective poker brands.
Earlier this week Sky Bet added sit-and-go tables and other new features to its Sky Poker app as part of its wider upgrade plans, while PartyPoker was given a major upgrade in June ahead of the release of a new gesture-based poker app last month.
