Perform names Gabby Logan as non-exec director
Sports broadcaster to take on new role from today.
Live streaming provider Perform Group has appointed BBC sports broadcaster Gabby Logan to its board as a non-executive director.
The daughter of former Wales football manager Terry Yorath, Match of the Day presenter Logan joins Microsoft General Manager, Corporate Development and Global Head of M&A and Strategic Investments Marc Brown and EA Interactive Head of New Platforms and OEM Peter Parmenter as a non-exec.
Chairman Paul Walker said of the appointment: “We are delighted that Gabby Logan has agreed to join Perform as a non-executive Director. Gabby’s in-depth understanding and insight into the worlds of sport and broadcasting will complement the Board’s existing expertise and experience.
“We are looking forward to working with Gabby and are confident that Perform will benefit from her expertise as it continues to build on the success achieved to date,” Walker added.
Perform Group has completed a number of significant acquisitions since floating in April 2011, most recently agreeing the acquisition of German media company Sportal.de for an undisclosed amount.
Earlier in the year the company took a majority stake in Turkish business Mackolik and made its “largest and most significant” acquisition in the form of a deal for RunningBall worth up to 120m.
