Nieboer leaves Betfair
Director of product marketing, planning and pricing named as interim replacement.
Betfair’s global marketing and brand director Oscar Nieboer has left the exchange betting operator after almost five years with the company.
Nieboer (pictured) joined Betfair in June 2007 after two years as managing director of Virgin Games. According to the company he left the company in January this year in order to pursue opportunities outside of the industry, and has been replaced by Alex Hathway, director of product marketing, planning and pricing on an interim basis. Nieboer was unavailable for comment when contacted by eGaming Review.
Hathway has spent six years with Betfair, moving from BSkyB in 2006, and rose from the position of senior marketing manager to head of planning and product marketing, before being appointed to his current role in September last year.

Ladbrokes has announced the appointment of two new non-executive directors, while Pippa Wicks has left the board after eight years. Christine Hodgson is chairman of consultancy firm Capgemini, while Richard Moross is founder and CEO of online printing start-up Moo.com.
A player from Sweden has won 7.6 on Net Entertainment‘s ‘Hall of Gods’ slot. The win occurred on Unibet‘s casino and the Swedish operator’s CEO Henrik Tjärnström said: “Again we have shown that the jackpots are real and we are ecstatic that another of our Unibet customers has become a millionaire.”
Betfred has announced that a player has won £5.1m on Playtech‘s Beach Life slot game from a £1 stake “ the largest progressive jackpot ever won in the UK, and the third-biggest worldwide.
