SIS bolsters marketing team
Supplier SIS has made two new hires to its marketing team as it looks to expand the division.
Simon Free joins as insights manager, working across verticals to ensure the firm’s product offering is informed by customer needs. Free had previously held similar roles on Sky Bet’s consumer research team and was also Ladbrokes’ market insight manager.
Meanwhile Patrick Alexander joins as marketing planning and activation manager from sports conference and content firm Leaders. Alexander will be responsible for building awareness of the firm’s product portfolio.
“These appointments will help support SIS’ diversification strategy as we seek to ensure that its product offering and marketing communications are informed by customer and consumer needs,” SIS’ head of marketing Paul Rees said.
CashBet appoints new VP of finance
Platform provider CashBet has named former investment banker Dan Edwards as its new VP of finance.
Edwards was previously at Financial Technology Partners and said he was looking forward to using his financing background to “propel this fast-growing company to the next level”.
The firm also added former Probability Games chairman and Scotbet founder Graham Martin to its advisory board.
“I don’t know of any other early-stage company with quite as strong a team of veteran industry experts as CashBet,” Martin said.
Odobo names Mat Ingram as head of content strategy
Odobo has named former Inspired Gaming Group managing director Mat Ingram as its new head of content strategy.
Ingram, who began the newly-created role over the summer, has been in the gaming sector for more than 20 years including an 11-year stint at Inspired Gaming – most recently as MD of its digital arm.
Having left Inspired in October 2014, he has been running his own gaming consultancy business for the past 12 months.
Gibraltar-based Odobo said Ingram’s appointment will help it drive “must-have” content to the platform to “maximise commercial success for its operator partners”.
Ingram said the opportunity to join Odobo “was hard to resist”. “It’s a pleasure to be working with world-class technology and such a passionate team,” he said.
Ladbrokes names ex-Hills man Fahy as CMO
Ladbrokes has named former William Hill CMO Kristof Fahy as its new marketing chief with a view to him taking the role within a combined Ladbrokes-Coral business.
Fahy joins from the Telegraph Media Group where he has been CMO and responsible for marketing and digital acquisition since April this year.
Prior to that he spent more than five years at William Hill, where he worked with current Ladbrokes CEO Jim Mullen.
Ladbrokes said Fahy will report directly into Mullen and also sit on the executive management team.
