Paddy Power head of partnerships to leave
Anthony Wong leaves Irish operator after five years in order to take up role outside of the industry
Paddy Power head of partnerships for UK, Ireland and Italy Anthony Wong is leaving the operator to take up a new role with technology company Quantcast.
Wong has spent five years with the Irish gaming giant and has helped build relationships with some of the operator’s biggest commercial partners, including the likes of Channel 4, the Mirror, Racing UK and Manchester City.
His last day at Paddy Power is tomorrow (5 September) with Wong “excited” about taking up his new position as head of client services (EMEA).
“I feel it is a natural step up and I am excited about my next challenge,” Wong said. “Furthermore, I hope to be able to relay all the up to date information back to the gambling industry in the near future,” he added.
Betclic hires former Mr Green CMO
Henrik Svensson to take up new role as Betclic Everest Group’s director of international markets next month
Betclic Everest Group has hired former Mr Green chief marketing officer Henrik Svensson as senior consultant and director of international markets.
Svensson will join Betclic on 1 September and will oversee business development for the company’s operations in Northern Euerope, Southern Europe and its Everest, Imperial and Monte Carlo brands.
“We need to develop our revenues in some key areas for our Group, whether it is Nordics or casino revenues just to name some of them,” Isabelle Andrès, Betclic Everest Group CEO, said.
“[Svensson] has a proven track record of continuously evolving businesses and increasing revenues and profitability [and] is going to contribute actively to the profitable growth of our activity, and notably for our brands Expekt and Montecarlo Casino,” she added.

Online casino operator Mr Green has appointed Niclas Enhorning as the CEO of its Mr Green & Co Technology subsidiary which supplies technology solutions to the entire Group.
Enhorning will assume his new role at the firm in November and joins Mr Green from online payments company Klarna where he worked as development manager after previous stints in the egaming industry.
“Niclas has solid experience as a developer and leader at companies involved in advanced IT and payment solutions as well as at gaming companies, which is a major advantage in this role,” Mikael Pawlo, CEO of Mr Green & Co, said.
“I am also impressed by the journey he has made together with Klarna, which is currently one of the world’s most successful payment services companies,” he added.
Gaming supplier Inspired Gaming Group is to ramp up its virtual sports business after making three senior appointments in the division including veterans from Sky Bet and GTECH.
Inspired has appointed Mark MacCombie as business development director, Al Sayce as account director and Neil Brookes as product manager.
“Underpinning the success of the Virtual Sports division is a very hard-working and passionate team, but to keep growing and supplying market-leading products we need to keep strengthening the team with industry experts and fresh ideas,” Steve Rogers, SVP of virtual sports and mobile at Inspired, said.
Bee Cave Games COO and co-founder Jeremy Strauser has left the social casino operator after two years at the company.
Strauser left his role at the Texas-based firm last month and told SCi he was looking forward to “new opportunities” with a replacement yet to be found.
“I am proud of what we accomplished during my time [at Bee Cave] and I wish them nothing but the best going forward,” Strauser told eGR.
