Snai president Sandi replaces Bortoli as CEO
Snai has announced that president Giorgio Sandi will become the Italian operator’s new chief executive following the resignation of Stefano Bortoli.
Bortoli announced that he will step down from the CEO position earlier this month, and will officially leave his role after the company’s annual general meeting, scheduled for 26 April, after which Sandi will take charge of the company. A statement released by Snai revealed that Bortoli, who has held his role for just over 18 months, will leave as he is “interested in evaluating new personal prospects.”
Sandi, his replacement, has served as chairman since January 2012, replacing long-term incumbent Maurizio Ughi, and previously spent 18 years as CEO of rival Italian operator Sisal, leaving the company in June 2008.

Online payment provider Skrill has appointed paysafecard.com USA managing director Neil Steinhardt as CEO of its US business.
Steinhardt will be responsible for the management and continued growth of Skrill and paysafecard USA, and will oversee the consolidation of the two businesses which reached an initial acquisition agreement in June last year, before last month completing what has been described as Skrill’s biggest acquisition to date.
Former Betfair CFO and interim CEO Stephen Morana has joined online property search company Zoopla – which replaced Bodog Europe last summer as the shirt sponsor of football club West Bromwich Albion – as its chief financial officer.
Morana had served as Betfair’s CEO between the departure of David Yu in 2011 and the arrival of Breon Corcoran last August, before announcing his departure from the company in September to be replaced by Alex Gersh. He had been with Betfair for 10 years.
