William Hill restructures senior Online team
MD Crispin Nieboer appoints new COO and sportsbook P&L director as the operator looks to boost digital performance
William Hill has announced a major restructure of its senior Online team including the appointment of a new chief operating officer (COO), sportsbook P&L director and chief experience officer.
The new look team will see special projects director Steven Reid promoted to the newly created Online COO role on an interim basis.
The operator also appointed Stuart Weston as its new sportsbook P&L director. He will report directly into Reid alongside gaming P&L director James Curwen and international director David Greyling.
Meanwhile, operations director Juergen Reutter has been promoted to the newly-created chief experience officer role and will be responsible for maximising the customer experience across all key customer touch points.
Tipico appoints bwin.party’s Joachim Baca as CEO
German sports betting operator Tipico has appointed former bwin.party COO Joachim Baca as its new chief executive officer to replace outgoing CEO Jan Bolz.
Baca, who was on the management board of bwin.party from 2006 to 2016, will start his new role on 18 July.
“I am greatly looking forward to working with the Tipico team and its owners to enhance the company’s existing successes and lead the company through its next chapter of growth,” said Baca.
Betsson Group has named Yana Tsyganova as head of casino for its Betsson.com site.
Tsyganova, who started her role earlier this month, will be responsible for overseeing the casino products and marketing strategy.
And speaking to EGR, Tsyganova confirmed she is already working on some projects that will be “game changers” within the industry.
“The key focus for me in the upcoming months is to continue on delivering on the promise of the best possible customer experience within the industry through everything that we do,” Tsyganova said.
Great Britain’s Gambling Commission has appointed Tim Miller as its new executive director, with oversight of corporate affairs, stakeholder engagement and the regulator’s evidence and analysis team.
Miller, who is currently head of policy and communications at the Local Government Ombudsman, will be joining the Commission at the end of August.
Miller has a history in public policy, with experience at the Centre for Public Scrutiny, the Citizens Advice Bureau and the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman.
