Senet Group names former online dating regulator as chief exec
Experienced regulator George Kidd replaces former CEO Ron Finlay with immediate effect
The Senet Group has named George Kidd as its new chief executive with immediate effect, the self-regulatory body confirmed on Monday.
The new chief exec replaces Ron Finlay, who left earlier this year after resigning from the Group.
Kidd has held numerous regulation and self-regulation roles, including his most recent as chair of the Direct Marketing Commission.
He has also served as chief executive at the regulator of premium phone calls PhonepayPlus and the self-regulatory Online Dating Association, as well as non-executive roles in the charity fundraising and conveyancing services.

SIS boosts senior leadership team
SIS has appointed Mike Jones to the newly-created position of director of software engineering following a successful interim period.
Jones will be based at SIS’ headquarters in Milton Keynes and is responsible for driving transformation in the way that SIS produces software.
He joins the supplier from Sony PlayStation and his career in software development spans more than 30 years, including experience with brands such as London Underground, Barclays, Logica, ABB and Alstom.
“Mike’s wealth of experience within software will be invaluable at an exciting time for the company when SIS is rolling out a number of innovative products to both the retail and online betting markets,” SIS Chief Executive, Gary Smith, said.
Israel Sports Betting Board names new chairman
PwC Israel’s Joseph Fellus has been appointed at the Israel Sports Betting Board’s new chairman on a voluntary basis.
Fellus joins the ISBB by recommendation of the minister of sports and the minister of treasure.
He is the territory senior partner of PwC Israel and a member of the executive board of the Israeli firm.
Camelot targets youngsters to improve digital business
National Lottery operator Camelot is on the search for a group of 18-25 year olds who can play a part in shaping the firm’s digital future.
In partnership with startup firm Freeformers, the operator will be running a recruitment event on 3 September to find 16 people for a year-long programme mixing digital training with work experience at The National Lottery’s HQ.
The successful candidates will spend time working in the digital, marketing, data, finance, it and HR departments at Camelot.
“We want to hire young people who can help shape the future of The National Lottery,” Emma Smith, head of talent and development at Camelot, said. “These âdisrupters’ will have the chance to influence our talented teams right across the business.”
