Sky Bet boosts leadership team with five senior promotions
Operator announces the promotions of senior personnel across its Bet, Gaming and Technology divisions
Sky Betting & Gaming (SB&G) has strengthened its leadership team with a number of promotions across all major divisions of the business including a new director of sports betting technology.
The Leeds-headquartered operator announced five new appointments across its Bet, Gaming and Technology departments, with Paul McCormick taking up the senior technology role within its sports betting arm.
Meanwhile, the firm’s former head of customer onsite experience, Steve Birch, was named commercial director, Sarah Merrick was moved up into the director of gaming trading performance role and Lee O’Donnell became director of IT infrastructure and security.
The operator has also appointed its former head of data technology, Rob Tuley, as head of engineering in the Gaming division, a new position created by SB&G as part of the restructuring.
Mr Green bolsters management team with CMO and COO hires
Mr Green has appointed a new chief marketing officer and chief operations officer as the online casino operator continues to build its new-look management team.
The Malta-headquartered firm’s new CMO, David Nordberg, previously held a number of marketing roles at online gaming companies including Svenska Spel, Electronic Arts, MAG Interactive and, most recently, Stardoll.
Nordberg, who officially took up his role at Mr Green in December, also worked for two years at Candy Crush Saga developer King.com as VP soft games and chief performance officer.

BoyleSports appoints new digital MD
BoyleSports has strengthened its Gibraltar-based online hub with the appointment of Eddie Bennett to the newly created role of digital managing director, eGaming Review has learned.
Bennett will join up with the Irish operator on 18 April and take responsibility for leading the Irish firm’s digital operations and marketing strategy.
The new MD had recently been working as a consultant to the industry, prior to which he was UK marketing director for Lottoland and head of Totepool.com.
Bet365 opens new Manchester technology hub
Bet365 is preparing to open a new technology-focused base in Manchester, the operator’s first UK office outside of its Stoke headquarters.
The new office is scheduled to open in early May and the firm is currently in the process of hiring as many as 70 staff which will support and develop the operator’s back office sports betting applications.
According to bet365 head of software development Dom Hawley, Manchester was chosen for its technological expertise and transport links, which will enable the firm to attract talent from further afield as well as allow staff to move between Manchester and Stoke at relative ease.
Full Tilt boss takes up new role at PokerStars
Full Tilt managing director Dominic Mansour has taken up an alternative role within parent company Amaya after his position was made redundant.
Mansour, who was named Full Tilt MD back in April 2014, has now been appointed SVP of Southern Europe markets at PokerStars.
The switch will see Mansour move from Full Tilt’s HQ in Dublin to PokerStars’ office in Malta, and comes after Amaya announced Full Tilt would migrate to the Stars platform.
