Ladbrokes Coral makes senior sportsbook appointments
Operator also hires new general counsel as merged firm continues to build management team
Ladbrokes Coral has appointed two new sportsbook directors with Ladbrokes’ Glynn Carroll and Coral’s Jamie Crossfield both landing senior roles at the recently combined firm.
Crossfield has been named director of trading operations and Carroll handed a director of trading performances role within the newly merged sportsbook division, which is based in Stratford.
Both men had been director of trading operations at their respective legacy firms and will now report into trading director Dave Brown, who EGR revealed had secured his position in September.
EGR has also learned that the combined firm will have a new general counsel, with Lindsay Beardsell set to join in early 2017.
Metric hires former Hills and Betfair directors in sportsbook push
Metric Gaming has strengthened its London-based team by bringing in a new COO, CFO and trading director, as the sports betting specialist continues its transformation into a fully-fledged sportsbook supplier.
Stepping in as COO is former Betfair and William Hill director Jim Supple, who brings with him more than 25 years’ experience in the betting industry, while Metric’s incoming CFO, Steven Paterson, was previously finance director of William Hill’s retail division.
Metric has also appointed former Coral trading chief Sam Foulkes as its new trading director. Foulkes left Coral earlier this year in favour of a return back to the UK, having spent a short time in Gibraltar.

Rank to combine London and Maidenhead offices
Rank Group will shut its London and Maidenhead offices next year and combine the two workforces under a single roof at a brand new headquarters based in Maidenhead.
The move, which is expected to be completed by next summer, comes as the leases on both current properties come to an end and with management thought to prefer a single office approach.
Rank’s 120-strong London Victoria staff were made aware of the upcoming change earlier this week and have now entered a period of consultation.

Aristocrat Leisure appoints new CEO
Aristocrat Leisure CEO and managing director, Jamie Odell, is set to leave the firm after eight years at the gaming solutions provider.
Odell will leave the company on 28 February 2017 to be replaced by its executive VP global products and insight, Trevor Croker, who will relocate to the US to take up the new role.
The chairman of the board of Aristocrat, Dr Ian Blackburne, said: “The Board is delighted to name Trevor Croker CEO (Elect) of Aristocrat.
“Trevor has played a key part in Aristocrat’s successful turnaround and outstanding growth, having worked closely with Jamie Odell and other key leaders as a member of the executive leadership team over the past seven years.”
