Parimatch extends esports sponsorship
Betting operator adds two years to partnership with Virtus.pro
Parimatch has extended its sponsorship deal with Russian esports team Virtus.pro for two more years.
Parimatch partnered with Virtus.pro parent company ESforce in 2019 to launch the Parimatch League, with the Virtus.pro team the inaugural winner.
The prize pool was $75,000, with the winner receiving $40,000. The second tournament is scheduled for the first half of 2020 and the prize fund has increased to $100,000.
Parimatch also acts as a regular broadcast partner for international tournaments from Twitch channel RuHub studio and the new deal will include the 2020 CS:GO and Dota 2 tournaments.
Stepan Shulga, head of esports at Parimatch, said: “Virtus.pro was our first big esports sponsorship deal and we are excited to be continuing this partnership for a further two years.
“Virtus.pro are one of the most recognisable teams in the esports world, and became even more formidable in 2019 by signing its strongest CS:GO roster to date.
“At Parimatch, we want to support teams and individuals who are fired up to win and are committed to entertaining their fans,” he added.
