Paf gross win rises 42%
Aland Islands operator climbs 40 places in the eGR Power 50 following the increase.
Aland Islands-based egaming operator Paf has recorded a year-on-year rise in sportsbook gross win of 42%.
The operator went live with a sports betting platform – powered by Unibet’s B2B arm Kambi – in July, and followed it with the launch of a new bingo offering on Parlay Entertainment’s Parlay5 platform.
Such a significant increase in gross win was noted by eGaming Review when compiling this year’s Power 50 list, and led to Paf climbing 40 places to be named the 9th most powerful egaming operator in 2011.
Paf had been a sports betting operator in the semi-autonomous Finnish region since 1999, developing its own product, however in a recent interview with eGR, deputy CEO Thomas Lundberg (pictured) said the success meant “As far as I can tell, we will not develop any in-house sports betting software again.”
Following the publication of the figures he explained that: “The complete integration process, as well as the launch, has been a success in terms of delivering on time and with the quality we jointly have demanded. In terms of financial performance, Paf is more than satisfied”.
