PAF goes live with MPN Mac client
à land-based firm the first operator to go live with Mac OS software
Gaming software provider Microgaming has announced à land-based operator Paf is now live with the MPN’s downloadable Mac OS software.
Paf is the first operator to debut the new Adobe Air client, which is available on all Mac operating systems, and has the same functionality as the MPN’s ‘instant play’ client.
“We are delighted to be the first MPN operator to go live with the Mac-compatible download software,” Herbert Paradis, head of poker at Paf said. “We know that our players who have Apple devices have been waiting for a downloadable client for some time, and now that we’ve joined the MPN, we are better able to meet our customers’ needs.”
The Mac client allows players to play all Hold’em cash games, Sit ‘n’ Go’s and tournaments, and head of network games at Microgaming Lydia Melton believes the launch will find favour among Mac players.
“Mac users are an important segment, but for years operators have been turning them away because they haven’t had dedicated software,” Melton said. “The MPN is one of only a few networks to offer a Mac-specific client and we are excited to see the uptake from players.”
In July Paf worked with Microgaming to launch a ‘deeplinking’ feature on its MPN room enabling players to join a poker table with a single click from a web page or email.
