Paddy Power renews PMU B2B partnership
Operator extends sports betting services deal with Paris-based firm for an additional five years
Paddy Power has renewed its B2B partnership with Pari Mutuel Urbain (PMU) to provide sports betting services to the French operator for a further five years.
The partnership was originally signed in late 2009 and sees Paddy Power’s B2B division provide risk management, event management and fixed-odds pricing services to PMU.
“When PMU decided to jump into the sports betting adventure, it had no experience in this new business,” Alain Resplandy-Bernard, PMU deputy CEO, said.
“PMU and Paddy Power have worked hand-in-hand to create an offer which would meet the French punters’ needs and expectations.
“Thanks to this renewed agreement, PMU knows it can look ahead with confidence and keep on delivering innovative solutions for its punters so that they can live a 100% emotions experience,” Resplandy-Bernard added.
Paddy Power’s initial five-year agreement with PMU was the first for the operator’s B2B division, which also provides white label solutions and data feeds, which has since signed new deals with the likes of the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) in Canada.
Head of B2B Cian Murphy said the partnership renewal with PMU was a strong validation of the firm’s work, adding that Paddy Power B2B was “seeing a lot of interest from potential new partners, lotteries and bookmakers, both public and private”.
