Paddy Power adds native iPad app to mobile portfolio
Irish firm launches new native tablet app as it continues aggressive rollout in 2014.
Irish operator Paddy Power has released a new native sportsbook app for the iPad as it continues its rollout of new mobile products in 2014.
Paddys claim the app is the “first ever sports betting app to be designed specifically for the iPad”.
The app which has been in development for over a year includes a “clean and logical” navigation system as well as a gesture-based user interface.
Users previously used a universal app primarily designed for the iPhone.
“We’re delighted to be the first bookmaker to offer our customers a native designed app for the iPad,” a Paddy Power spokesperson said.
“We’ve spent over a year developing this app and we believe that we have a product that does the iPad justice.”
Paddy Power is looking to rollout a number of tablet-optimised casino products later this year, following on from the success of its award winning Roller app.
The iPad sportsbook app’s unveiling comes just days after the firm launched its new personalised Messenger app and updated its iPhone app with a new Cash Out facility.
In November Paddy Power announced plans to launch further mobile apps this quarter in a bid to boost growth following a tough Q3 in 2013.
