Paddy Power claims mobile lead
Paddy Power said it continued to lead in mobile gambling with 56% of revenue coming through the mobile channel in the 20 weeks ended November 16th.
The firm made the announcement in an interim trading announcement earlier today, where it also revealed online revenue rose 42% with a 49% increase in sportsbook and 20% growth in eGaming/B2B.
“We lead the industry on penetration of the key mobile sector, with 58% of our total online revenue from mobile devices in the period,” a Paddy Power statement said.
Paddy Power continues to report the most impressive mobile numbers of any of the listed egaming operators, although anecdotal reports suggest BetVictor and Sky Bet are seeing similar mobile revenue share figures.
Sportsbook showed 60% growth outside of Australia for Paddy Power in the period with mobile believed to be responsible for north of 60% of revenue from the vertical.
But the firm also reported strong mobile growth in its gaming division, with the firm finally adding single sign-on earlier this year between its sportsbook and gaming apps.
“A strong performance from our mobile and proprietary product drove eGaming/B2B revenue growth of 19%,” Paddy Power said.
The firm has one of the biggest mobile gaming app portfolios with Live Casino, Casino, Bingo, Vegas and Games alongside its stand-alone Rainbow Riches slot app.
