Paddy Power adds single sign-on for mobile portfolio
Irish operator becomes the latest to add capability to its sportsbook and casino apps
Paddy Power has become the latest egaming firm to add single sign-on capability to its flagship mobile apps as part of an update released yesterday.
The update allows customers in its sportsbook app to switch seamlessly to its casino product without having to re-submit log-in details.
Paddy Powerâs reported a market leading 52% of its total net revenue coming from mobile during its H1 results disclosure in August, equivalent to roughly â¬126m.
Around 73% of its active sportsbook customers used the mobile app in the same period, however the absence of seamless log-in features within its mobile products had been considered a weakness compared to its rivals in the mobile space.
Sky Betting & Gaming became the first major operator to go live with the feature in August last year and since then a number of operators and suppliers have sought to follow in its footsteps.
Betfair has added the capability gradually over the last few months with its mobile portfolio of apps being upgraded gradually, culminating in an upgrade to its exchange betting app earlier this week.
Playtech introduced single log-in across Coralâs sports betting and casino apps in October last year and Playtech CEO Mor Weizer labelled the capability âthe futureâ of mobile betting shortly afterwards.
