Optimal Payments gets New Jersey licence
State's Division of Gaming Enforcement awards permit to act as vendor to egaming operators
Optimal Payments has become the latest service provider to be awarded a licence to act as a vendor to egaming operators in New Jersey.
The provider was found suitable for the licence by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement on Friday and can now supply its payment technology to those operators planning to launch sites next month.
“We are excited to be an approved vendor in New Jersey and we look forward to leveraging our vast experience and expertise to help facilitate online payments for our partners in New Jersey,” said Joel Leonoff, president and CEO of Optimal Payments.
New Jersey’s egaming market is poised to go live in November and the state’s regulator has been busy issuing licences to both service providers and operators in recent weeks. Among those to receive approval are the Golden Nugget, Trump and Borgata casinos.
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie signed the egaming bill into back in February, legalising online poker and casino games in the state for the first time with the intention of breathing new life into Atlantic City’s ailing casino indusrty.
