OpenBet recruits sales director from Microsoft
Amanda Bicknell was formerly Microsoft's business manager for the UK education sector.
OpenBet has appointed Microsoft veteran Amanda Bicknell as its new sales manager, reporting to chief operating officer Jeremy Thompson-Hill.
Bicknell had been with the software company for 13 years, most recently as business manager for the UK education sector, and in her new role will be given commercial responsibility for the service provider’s 100+ existing partners such as William Hill and Paddy Power.
She is the second new arrival at OpenBet from a large multinational in recent months, after senior vice president of technology Nikos Kryvossidis joined from Google in June.
OpenBet announced in September that it had signed its 100th partner agreement after reaching a deal with Callcredit, and has since signed deals with Gala Coral, Passoker and Matchroom.
Thompson-Hill said of the appointment: “Amanda’s experience will enable us to further improve our market-leading offering to bookmakers and national lotteries worldwide. We are pleased to welcome someone of her calibre to our team at OpenBet.”
