OpenBet announces omni-channel racing app
New product will allow in-venue cash players to scan mobile betslips
OpenBet has announced a new in-venue companion app as it looks to scale its omni-channel presence in the racing sector.
The new app lets players build a betslip on their phone before taking it to be scanned at the register in a bricks and mortar venue.
Players can also pay using their online account via UNIFY, the base of OpenBet’s omni-channel gaming solutions.
The firm said it would become the industry’s equivalent of “click and collect”, which has proved popular among high street retailers.
The new app will be on display at ICE, with OpenBet CEO Jeremy Thompson-Hill (pictured) saying the omni-channel solution is underpinned by the “performance of the world’s leading sportsbook provider”.
“Our theme at this year’s show demonstrates how OpenBet understands the importance that racing plays for sports betting operators,” Thompson-Hill said.
“An extremely high level of capability is required to handle the scale of major events and the performance of our platform under this pressure is simply second-to-none,” he added.
