OLBG unveils debut TV ad campaign
Sports betting affiliate's ad launches across a number of TV channels featuring new "Let's Beat the Bookies!" tagline
Online sportsbook affiliate OLBG has launched its debut TV advertising campaign featuring a new tagline “Let’s Beat the Bookies!” in its biggest marketing campaign to-date.
The sports betting tipster’s ad was launched last Wednesday across a number of TV channels including Dave, Sky Atlantic, Film4, Watch and Eurosport and features freestyle footballer John Whetton playing in a fictional football match between ‘OLBG’ and ‘Bookies United’.
The affiliate has also branded 25 taxis across London to promote its new message, which looks to position the site as a place for smarter punters.
“In true David and Goliath style, underdog OLBG is going head-to-head with the big body bookies,” Nikesh Tailor, OLBG marketing manager, said.
“Our success shows that punters want to bet smarter and know that having solid facts and figures to back up a betting decision is the only way to go,” he added.
OLBG was founded in 2002 and features tips, free bet offers, bookmaker reviews and a betting school across both desktop and mobile.
The company’s iOS app has been downloaded almost 500,000 times since launching in 2012 and the latest version of the app currently has a 4.5 star review in the Apple App Store.
