OK! Magazine launches social bingo product
Celebrity news magazine unveils new free-to-play bingo product in partnership with Dab Gaming
British celebrity news publication OK! Magazine has launched a new multi-channel social bingo product in partnership with B2B content supplier Dab Gaming.
OK! Fun Bingo features TV personality Joey Essex as the game’s bingo caller and is the first of a series of Dab Gaming-powered bingo products from UK media brands set to launch this year.
The free-to-play bingo product is available on both desktop and mobile, and features eight bingo rooms, Facebook log-in functionality and ‘power ups’, while players also compete against other users on the speed and accuracy of their dabbing skills.
“As the biggest celebrity magazine in the country, we are proud to be one of the first brands to ever feature a celebrity as an integral part of a bingo game,” Kirsty Tyler, editor of OK! Magazine, said.
“The game has so many exciting functions and twists on the original bingo game – best of all it gives you a real-life bingo experience with actual dabbing and playing against real people wherever you are,” she added.
In March eGaming Review revealed Dab Gaming was in discussions with newspaper and magazine publishing company Northern & Shell to develop freemium bingo games for a number of its publications including OK Magazine, the Daily Express and Daily Star.
Dab Gaming was formed last year by former Mfuse CEO and Cashcade finance director Geoff Read, launching its first major product BingoDab.
