Oddschecker Insights: Risk-free bet a winner for 188bet
Exclusive data shows Sky Bet also performing strongly on new customer sign-ups during Euro 2016
Isle of Wight-based bookie 188bet picked up a quarter of all new customer clicks on Oddschecker through Wednesday and Thursday, thanks to its ?25 risk free bet offer.
The success of the offer is matched only by Sky Bet, whose ‘bet ?5 get ?20’ new customer offer is also attracting 25% of new customer clicks, according to new Oddschecker data provided to EGR.
The price-comparison site said the third most popular new customer offer was Betfair’s 10/1 enhancement on England to beat Wales, which garnered 7% of clicks.
Elsewhere, Sky Bet continued its early success on all customer offers with its 8/1 price boost on Gareth Bale and Harry Kane to score accounting for 15% of clicks.
This figure still led the market, but marked a significant decline from Tuesday when the operator was attracting 62% of clicks thanks to its pre-tournament offers.

“Sky Bet stole the crown again as it profited from takeover exposure across our site yesterday,” said Oddschecker’s head of commercial Guy Harding.
“Aside from Sky Bet, Ladbrokes’ ‘Money back as a free bet if a home nations game ends in a draw’ offer commanded an impressive 12% of all customer click share,” he added.
Meanwhile Netbet’s ‘Double your winnings if your team wins from behind, refund up to ?25 if your team loses after being ahead’ also garnered traction as it soaked up 9% of the all customer clicks – which proved to be a boon for both England and Wales fans.”
The affiliate also shared data on which firms were offering the best odds for the winning treble on Thursday of an England win, a Northern Ireland win and a draw between Germany and Poland.

The figures revealed an ultra-competitive market, with four different bookies offering best odds on the treble in the build up to the games.
Thirty six hours before kick-off Marathonbet was 50.7 before Betfred offered an industry best 47.8 at kick-off.
