NYX INTERACTIVE HAS hired David Flynn, head of operations at rival software company Microgaming, as its new chief operating officer (COO).
Isle of Man-licensed Nyx provides technology for clients including Betsson and Bonnier Gaming and the state monopolies Francaise Des Jeux (FDJ) and Svenska Spel of France and Sweden respectively. As reported on EGRmagazine.com yesterday, Nyx is also launching a trivia gaming network with an integrated bingo and casino suite this year with trivia game business Amuso and gaming network operator Cashball.
Flynn joins the Swedish company this month after three years with rival Isle of Man-based Microgaming, and will work alongside Nyx chief executive Staffan Lindgren.
Prior to joining Microgaming in 2007, Flynn held roles including as vice president and director of the Ongame Network acquired by Bwin in 2005, and as European operations manager for Paris-based surveillance and image processing software business Vision IQ.
Staffan Lindgren said: “David joining us is part of our expansion plans to become the dominant player in the platform and services sector. His service ethic coupled with experience across all gaming verticals makes him an excellent fit. “
In other executive moves recently, Irish bookmaker Boylesports hired Chartwell Games chief executive Lee Richardson as its own new chief executive yesterday, while last week Ladbrokes chief executive Chris Bell revealed he is to leave this year after almost 20 years at the British bookmaker.
