NYX lands Nederlandse Loterij platform deal
Supplier to provide its Open Platform and Open Gaming Systems to the recently merged lottery giant
NYX Gaming Group has signed a major long-term partnership with the recently merged Nederlandse Loterij.
The supplier was selected by Nederlandse Loterij, created following the 2016 combination of De Lotto and Nederlandse Staatsloterij, to provide the company with its Open Platform System (OPS).
The NYX OPS platform will act as the player management system for Nederlandse Loterij and manage all lottery and sports betting products distributed through all retail and digital channels.
And the work has already begun, with NYX having successfully migrated the databases of players from both the previous lotteries.
In addition, NYX will also provide Nederlandse Loterij with its Open Gaming System (OGS), as well as full support and maintenance including hosting via its data centre in Paris.
“It is a privilege to be working with Nederlandse Loterij, who are a key player on the world lottery stage,” Matt Davey, NYX CEO, said.
“The team has been a pleasure to work with and we look forward to developing our partnership over the coming months,” he added.
The Nederlandse Loterij and De Lotto merger created a €1bn (£725m) lottery operator.
It houses seven well-known gambling entities in the Netherlands including brands such as Staatsloterij, Lotto, Toto, Eurojackpot, Miljoenenspel, Lucky Day and Krasloten, and invests millions annually in Dutch sport and 18 charities in the area of health and movement.
Joost den Heijer, COO Nederlandse Loterij commented: “Moving to its OPS and a single player database has been highly beneficial to Nederlandse Loterij and we look forward to many more years of success together.”
