Sportsbook technology provider Offsidegaming has signed a B2B deal with licensed Argentine operator Elygra to provide a full sports betting, casino and games platform. Offsidegaming chief executive Matt Jellicoe said that he hopes to open a regional office in South or Central America later this year.
Betfair founders Andrew Black and Ed Wray have had to sell a further 10% of their holding in the firm, after the rocketing share price led Morgan Stanley to trigger an over-allocation clause. Following its IPO, Betfair shares jumped from £13 to over £15 in its first day of trading. The extra shares the founders sold earned them £3.6m between them. Other stakeholders also sold more shares, with 46% of the business now available on the market as a result, reported City AM.
Victor Chandler has upgraded its Zukido-powered in-play betting product by adding live streaming provided by sports rights and marketing agency Sportsman Media Group. Zukido’s commercial director David Sargeant said. “Victor Chandler once again has the vision to iterate their hugely successful live product, adding The Sportsman’s streaming for their customers, and Zukido is proud to continue this successful partnership”.
Bodog has appointed Robert Gustavsson as managing director of its Asian-facing Bodog88 licensee. Gustavsson, 45, was previously global marketing director for free newspaper group Metro International, and his egaming experience includes director posts at OnGame Network-powered PokerRoom.com and at Scandinavian operator Betway. Gustavasson said: “[T]he post was irresistible and offers a challenge that I can’t wait to get my teeth into. Manila is a fantastic city and the potential for the business in Asia is literally limitless.”
Bwin has extended its data centre requirements of its service provider Interxion. Bwin now takes additional space in Interxion’s Vienna data centre as well as space in one of Interexion’s Paris data centres.
