Geneity has completed its rebuild of Coral‘s sportsbook. The software provider’s Gen Bet sports betting platform has been integrated into Coral’s existing account management system, allowing customers to use a single accont across online, mobile, retail and telebet channels. Geneity has also updated Coral’s in-running functionality. Chief information officer for Gala Coral Group, Damian Cope, said: “We have already received significant positive feedback from our customers regarding the enhancements of the sportsbook.
Lottery giants GTech and Scientific Games have submitted a joint bid for the Illinois lottery contract, currently held by the former. Intralot is also expected to run against the newly created Northstar Lottery Group JV for the contract, the winner of which is expected to be announced by Governor Pat Quinn in September. Quinn’s December 2009 letter to the US Department of Justice requesting its opinion on the Illinois Proposed Internet Lottery Pilot Program, which would implement the sale of Illinois lottery tickets on the internet, is seen by lotteries in several cash-starved US states as a potential first step towards offering gaming offerings online. GTech, Scientific Games and Intralot all have egaming arms.
