Newco launches social networking bingo site
Newco Entertainment's bingo site Gossip Bingo has gone live today, which offers a magazine style format and Facebook interaction.
Moon Bingo operator Newco Entertainment has launched a new social networking-style bingo site, in a bid to tap into the Facebook market.
Gossip Bingo, powered by 888’s B2B division Dragonfish, offers a magazine-style format and celebrity news alongside a range of bingo and instant games, and will interact with social networking sites including Facebook and Twitter. The site, which has gone live today, also includes features such as ‘adding your gossip buddy’ and a community notice board designed to connect players with similar interests.
Adi Frum, chief executive of Netboost Media, said: “After consulting with our consumers, we have incorporated unique features which provide a greater all-round gaming experience, aimed at increasing each player’s ‘dwell time’. The software modifications Newco has made allow us to target different consumer segments during their play time.”
The launch of the new site follows Netboost Media, the company promoting Gossip Bingo, surveying over 70,000 bingo players and finding that over 80% are also members of Facebook and 75% read a gossip magazine or website every day.
Frum said he hoped the new standalone network, the second launched by Newco within 12 months, would build on the success of MoonBingo. “For the last ten months we have managed to acquire over 3,500 new depositors every month to MoonBingo, the majority of which are based in the UK. I am confident we can more than double this number with GossipBingo.”
The launch of Gossip Bingo takes Newco’s online bingo brands to five, joining Moon Bingo, Polo Bingo, Glorious Bingo and Spectra Bingo.
