A new industry event has been launched to coincide with the annual eGaming Review Awards.
EGR Live is a free to attend, two-day event for operators, and will feature 1,200 egaming delegates ranging from chief executives and managing directors to senior management and executives.
It will take place on 30 November and 1 December at the same venue as the eGaming Review Awards, which are being held in London’s Billingsgate Market for the first time, on the evening of the 30th.
EGR Live will feature conference sessions, workshops and products and service displays, plus a networking events ranging from breakfast briefings to afternoon cocktail parties (more).
Betdaq chief executive Brian O’Sullivan said: “I think EGR Live is a great idea “ providing the perfect opportunity for informal networking and the ability to conduct serious business as well. As it’s organized by EGR and it’s free, I’m sure it will attract a strong representation of key people in the industry “ I look forward to attending.”
A special meeting system has been designed to allow visitors to plan each day, selecting which suppliers they wish to meet with and which sessions they want to attend, creating a personal online diary which they can update right up until the event.
Ladbrokes managing director for egaming, Ed Andrewes, said: “EGR Live is a great new initiative for the online gaming industry, offering both networking and business opportunities. The ability to create your own personalised programme beforehand means it will be a really focused event.”
The EGR Awards, which take place on the evening of the first day of EGR Live, will take on a new format this year, with the award ceremony taking place in the main theatre before the dinner, followed by a party in the Old Billingsgate vaults (more).
Valhalla Investments Chairman Mark Blanford said: “It’s great to see a fresh format for an event in this industry and particularly one that combines business, education and networking. I also like the fact that it’s free and personalised for each delegate, which opens it up to all levels and areas of the industry.”
H2 Gambling Capital Director Simon Holliday said: “EGR Live is just what this industry needs “ a fresh new event with real business and networking opportunities and the concept of creating your own itinerary is a really good idea. Running it alongside EGR Awards is perfect, creating a real industry gathering and a great use of your time.”
