NetplayTV signs three-year ITV deal
Extension follows five-year deal signed last year to broadcast its Supercasino game on Channel Five in the UK.
NetPlayTV has signed a new three-year broadcast agreement with ITV which will see the interactive gaming company increase its live broadcast on the UK channel to six nights a week.
The operator will now feature every night from Monday to Saturday and also appear on ITV’s website, claiming the broadened relationship “compliments our approach of targeting new customers via mobile, TV and online”.
NetPlayTV’s focus on its live TV casino offering saw it pen extensions to its broadcasting agreements with UK TV channels Five and ITV last year.
In October 2011 and April 2012 respectively it signed a five-year deal to broadcast Supercasino on Five, and a two-year deal to air live roulette show Jackpot247 on ITV. The Supercasino brand was further enhanced by a live roulette offering being added to its iPad app at the end of Q4 2011.
Charles Butler, CEO of NetPlayTV, said of the new deal: “I am delighted to announce our new three year deal with ITV. We have been working with ITV since 2010 and this new agreement will significantly increase our customer reach.
“It is testament to the success of the format to date and will reinforce our proven strategy of using TV to target new customers. We look forward to working with ITV and further building on the significant success that has been achieved to date.”
William van Rest, director of commerce and ventures at ITV, added: “We are pleased to continue and extend our relationship with NetPlayTV and their Jackpot 247 service. This new deal sees the partnership, which started in 2010, extend through to 2016.”
