NCRG elects new chairman
Senior vice president of MGM Resorts announced as chairman of National Centre for Responsible Gambling
Alan Feldman has been elected chairman of the National Centre for Responsible Gambling (NCRG), the US organisation has announced.
Feldman, senior vice president of public affairs for MGM Resorts International, has served on the NCRG board since 2000, and also sits on the board of the Nevada Council on Problem Gambling. He replaces previous chair Glen Christensen, managing director of investment firm Velstand Investments LLC. Feldman was presented with the lifetime achievement in gaming communications award by the American Gaming Association (AGA) in 2009.
Commenting on his appointment Feldman said: “I am honored that the NCRG board has put their confidence in me to follow Glenn Christensen in this capacity. Glenn has done an incredible job of leading the NCRG in creating new initiatives that help to translate the NCRG-funded research findings into practical, real-world applications.”
The NCRG, founded in 1996, claims to be the only organisation dedicated to funding research into problem and underage gambling in the United States, and is the AGA’s affiliated charity.
