Michael Hirst to leave eCOGRA
Chairman and two non-execs to leave player protection and standards organisation at the end of the year.
eCOGRA chairman Michael Hirst and non-executive directors Bill Galston and Frank Catania will step down from the board, the organisation has announced.
The trio will leave the gambling standards and testing organisation at the end of the year. The decision was taken to “restructure and streamline” the board following a management buyout led by chief executive Andrew Beveridge in March.
The new board will be made up of just Beveridge and fair gaming advocate Tex Rees.
Following the announcement, Beveridge thanked the outgoing board members for their role in establishing eCOGRA, and spoke of his enthusiasm for “the next chapter” of the organisation.
“I look forward to the next chapter of our growth as we set out to use our exceptional and unrivalled experience in providing services to jurisdictions, whilst maintaining our unique eCOGRA seal assuring player protection on approved sites”.
